Village of Southend

In 2000 BCDC expanded both its scope of services offered, as well as its market area, through the development and success of The Village of Southend. In an effort to take advantage of the growing condominium demand in the Charlotte metro area, BCDC secured land in the emerging Southend area of downtown Charlotte. BCDC partnered in this development project with Boulevard Centro, the leading designer of urban residences in Charlotte. This was the first of three successful joint-ventures between these companies producing units to appeal to the abundant number of young professionals working in the community. The mixed-use project included condominium residences, office space and retail.
