BCDC and Novare Group began the development of this project in 2019. The property is located at 1035 Alexander Drive, in NW Augusta between Washington Road and Riverwatch Parkway, approximately a mile north of Augusta National Golf Club. The site’s favorable, centralized location and proximity to major thoroughfares provides for an easy commute to major employers in both Downtown Augusta and the surrounding metro area.
Alexander Heights will offer a variety of one and two-bedroom apartments spread across twelve (12) buildings, including four carriage house buildings, with a total of 252 apartment units (avg 947 SF). The eight primary apartment buildings will be situated along an interior drive that will feature tree saving areas and landscape buffers to take advantage of existing mature trees. Parking is conveniently located near the apartment homes and is designed to accommodate both residents’ vehicles and those of their guests.
The centrally located clubhouse will feature an expansive resident activity center, leasing center, 24-hour business center, cybercafé and kitchen, and 24-hour fitness center. An in-ground, resort style pool will include an outdoor kitchen, lounge areas and an outdoor fire pit. Landscaped parks and green spaces throughout the site will feature active and/or passive recreational opportunities and will include amenities such as a centralized mail kiosk, picnic and grilling areas, a car wash, and a dog park.
