BCDC and Novare Group joined in their 21st multi-family project to create Populus at South Lawn, located approximately 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, in Gwinnett County. Lawrenceville is one of the many suburban cities that has benefitted from Atlanta’s economic growth. Over the past several decades, Atlanta’s strong economy, combined with relatively low land costs, has spurred significant industrial development and job creation along the I-85 corridor, which Lawrenceville straddles. Among the notable employers in the Lawrenceville area are Gwinnett Medical Center, Cisco Systems, and Primerica, which together bring close to 8,500 jobs to the immediate area.
The property offers a variety of Class-A apartments in studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with a total of 430 apartment units. The project has three pools, rentable standalone garages, business center, club room, fitness center, outdoor kitchen & grilling areas, dog walk, bike repair room, and rentable storage lockers, and high-end finishes that meet or exceed anything currently offered in the market. There are seven buildings in total, with six containing 331 garden-style apartment units and the seventh building contains 99 “Premium” units. The Premium unit building has dedicated amenities, programmed events, elevators, air-conditioned corridors, and other features to distinguish them from the Traditional Apartments.
