Charlottesville Storage

Charlottesville Storage represents BCDC and Madison Capital Group’s first joint venture to develop a class A, five-story, climate controlled self-storage facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. Albemarle County retains significant discretion over where and when it will allow new self-storage projects to be built. Self-storage is only allowed in very limited zoning districts, and almost all require a Special Use Permit. There have also been significant recent changes to the zoning code to prohibit storage in retail/residential areas and if any are approved, significant architectural conditions would be required making most projects not feasible.

Once complete, the facility will be professionally managed by Madison Capital Group’s (MCG) wholly-owned and operated management company, Go Store It. The facility will include 704 storage units (65,476 NRSF).
