BCDC and Novare Group began the development of this project in Q4 2020. The 9-acre property is part of a 48-acre master-planned community located at 3196 Summit Blvd., in SE Birmingham near the affluent submarkets of Mountain Brook and Vestavia Hills.  The site has excellent proximity to a variety of retail, restaurants and entertainment options and is located with easy access to Hwy 280 and I-459 providing an easy commute to major employers in both Downtown and the surrounding metro area.

The 286-unit project will offer a variety of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments spread across two (2) buildings.  Parking is conveniently located in an adjacent structured parking deck.  The centrally located clubhouse will feature an expansive resident activity center, leasing center, 24-hour business center, cybercafé and kitchen, and 24-hour fitness center. An in-ground, resort style pool will include an outdoor kitchen, lounge areas and an outdoor fire pit. Landscaped parks and green spaces throughout the site will feature active and/or passive recreational opportunities and will include amenities such as a centralized mail kiosk, picnic and grilling areas, a car wash, and a dog park.  The property will also incorporate expansive walking trails throughout the wooded masterplan.
