BCDC and Bakke Development Corp. Break Ground on Climate Controlled Self Storage Facility in San Antonio, Texas

BCDC and Bakke Development Corp. (Bakke) have broken ground on a state-of-the-art, secure, climate-controlled self-storage facility located at SW Loop 410 and Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, Texas. This cutting-edge facility will feature 86,475 rentable square feet and 751 units, strategically designed to meet the growing storage needs of the community.
The project marks the seventh joint venture between BCDC and Bakke, highlighting a strong and successful partnership committed to delivering high-quality developments.

The three-story storage facility will be prominently visible off Interstate Loop 410, benefiting from the high traffic of over 38,500 vehicles per day (VPD) on Palo Alto Road and the Interstate Loop 410 Access Road.
Situated within the San Antonio city limits, the site is anchored by a single-family residential development, Texas A&M University – San Antonio, Palo Alto Community College and the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas Plant.

The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025, with Independent Contractors, Inc. serving as the General Contractor and Alamo Architects, Inc. as the project architect. Financing for the development is being provided by Security State Bank.
