Ray’s primary responsibilities include identifying, evaluating and implementing acquisition and development opportunities and managing entitlement strategy for complex mixed-use projects. Ray has been engaged in horizontal land development, retail, office, multifamily, for sale condo and marina projects as well as public private partnerships.
Michaels’ career spans five decades and prior to joining BCDC in 1998, he was the Managing Principal at The Michaels Company, an Atlanta-based development company.
A licensed real estate broker, Ray is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
